Historic Building Surveying
Patina Building Conservation is grounded in ensuring that a comprehensive understanding of the historic building provides the starting point before any repair works are undertaken. We can provide detailed condition surveys and reports that conform to the Quinquennial Inspection method of surveying and are equivalent to and regularly go beyond the detail of RIBA level 3 and RICS level 3 surveys. We can also develop detailed repair packages for tendering purposes through RIBA stage 4 design and develop repair details. Alongside our surveys we can produce drawing packages through both annotated drawings as well as detailed design of repairs and alterations where necessary.

Building Pathology
We have a passion for understanding building materials, the mechanisms of deterioration and how our historic buildings function. We can complete targeted surveys and investigations, including intrusive investigations, as to help you resolve defects that may be impacting timber, stone or brick, roof, walls or floors and ensure that a repair and management strategy is introduced to eliminate and monitor these issues in the future.

Conservation Repairs
At Patina Building Conservation we have a technical understanding of traditional materials that is reinforced by continual research, study and engagement with specialist conservators. Our grasp of the materials that were used historically ensures that we can specify and complete repairs to a historic building alongside experienced craftspeople.
Honest repairs and interventions don't have to be rude.
