SPAB Scholar
- 9 month immersive further education in building conservation.
- Travelled across the UK, Ireland and Italy visiting conservation architects, surveyors and structural engineers, visiting buildings of all ages and typologies to learn about their sensitive repair.
- Hands on training with craftspeople gaining experience and understanding of traditional crafts including roof slating, thatching, timber repair, brickwork, masonry, stained glass and all aspects of lime work.
- Developed a passion for lime burning and the use of traditional mortars and their role in building conservation.
